Cindy Brownell Becomes New Owner of HireQuest Direct in Kansas City, KS

Veteran staffing leader brings 22 years of experience and a community-first mindset to expand on-demand staffing for light industrial and hospitality employers

KANSAS CITY, KS — November 5, 2025 — HireQuest Direct, a leading on‑demand staffing franchise and proud member of the HireQuest Global Talent Network, today announced that Cindy Brownell has acquired and will operate the company’s Kansas City, Kansas location.

Brownell, a 22‑year veteran of the staffing industry, most recently served seven years with One Source, starting as an on‑site General Manager before being promoted to Regional Manager. When One Source shifted its business focus, Brownell saw the opportunity to bring her team‑first approach to a locally owned and operated HireQuest Direct franchise serving the Kansas City market.

Under Brownell’s leadership, the Kansas City office will focus on helping employers in:

• Light Industrial: demolition support, disaster/restoration, picking/packing, warehousing, and logistics
• Hospitality & Events: food service, hotels, events staffing, and food prep

With responsive, on‑demand staffing and temporary staffing options, including daily pay,  the Kansas City team will continue delivering the right people at the right time, guaranteed.

A lifetime resident of Kansas City, Kansas, Brownell is deeply rooted in the community and passionate about service. She has led and supported local outreach programs including meal services and seasonal Halloween activations, and plans to expand those efforts as part of her office’s commitment to the neighborhoods it serves.
